Mannheim is a city placed in the south-west of Germany (Baden-Württemberg). It is located at the confluence of two rivers: the Rhine and the Neckar. It has approximately 295.000 inhabitants (2012). This is the main Concert Hall, but the city has other spaces also. This project was made in 1957, after a big fire that destroyed the Theater. The style of the building is modern and rationalist, as you can observe in the pictures. As a personal experience I can add that the building has a very good functionality and it’s very well connected with the city center. I love the big concert hall and the big stairs placed in the two sides for the social impact they have in the interludes.
