2,4×2,4×2,4 mts cube

As a class-exercice the team had to build a cube with the dimensions 2,4 x 2,4 x 2,4 meters, as it’s the limit measure that is used in the sea containers in order to carry objects from one continent to another. The challenge was to construct it without glue or screws, to choose a lightweight material, and to be resistant enough. It had to be quickly to think and to build.

Finally, we designed the cube made of river reeds, plastic joints and some rope to connect the diagonals, in order to increase the resistance.

The result was good enough, and the challenge achieved. The entire team squeezed in the cube, as you can see in the pictures!

The team members were: Casandra Debois, Valeria Ferti, Maria Franch, Jakub Kubala, Clara Lobo, Sergio Mirallas, Maria Pérez, Gerard Olivé, Cristina Olucha, Chantal Romeo and Ania Sawicka.
